Paid to Read Email Programs

There are tons of companies out there that will pay you from one-quarter cent to twelve cents per email you read.

Nearly all of these programs are free to join, though many offer fairly inexpensive upgrades you can purchase that
will give you additional features such as a greater quantity of emails, a higher rate per email read, or more money if
you refer anyone.

How it Works

After you sign up for a program the company will start sending you emails periodically throughout the day. You usually
have to click on a link in the email and a new browser window opens displaying some product or business
opportunity  for up to 30 seconds.  It will state something like "your account has been credited" and then you can
close the browser window. There are some variations on the process.  Some programs require you to click on a link or
an icon to get credit.  Others have you login to their site where they have a special mailbox set up.

Is this profitable?

Yes and no.  If a company is paying you 1/2 cent for an email and you get just five per day, that's not even going to
buy you a cup of coffee a month.  But, if you sign up for ten or so legitimate higher-paying programs and work them
consistently you should be able to make $30 - $70 a month with moderate effort and easily fit this into your normal
internet activities.

The only way you can turn this into a more lucrative endeavor is to refer others into your programs.  With referrals you
have the opportunity to get paid when someone else joins and potentially make a percentage from the emails that they
read.  It might not be a lot of money with just a few referrals, but if you can get a high number of referrals (i.e. 100 or so)
it can start to really ad up.

Almost every company will give you your own unique referral link that you can post thoughout the web to bring new
members into those programs. For those that have never marketed online before, this is actually a very easy thing
to do, and you can do it for free using one of the numerous free traffic sites throughout the web.  I will be doing an
entire page devoted to Traffic Exchanges, but if you want to see an example you can click Smiley Traffic.  Also, keep
in mind that almost all of the paid to read email programs are free to join so this makes it much easier to get referrals!

                                               The Keys to Success!

  • Be consistent not only with your email clicking, but also your referral advertising.  It might take a while before you start to generate referrals, but it will be worth it.
  • You can earn a little extra money by utilizing your programs' "paid to click" pages if they have them.
  • Use "tabbed browsing." The newer Internet Explorer has this capability, but I highly recommend the free Mozilla Firefox Browser.
  • Use a unique, non-personal email and filter the emails into one folder.  You get a lot of these emails so you need to be organized. I  recommend using the free GMAIL or Yahoo Mail.
  • Check your spam folders periodically.  These types of emails wind up in there quite often.
  • Open as many emails as you can at one time.  Many programs don't let you open up more than email at a time so you have to wait for the timer to expire.  What you can do is open up emails from different companies at the same time.  When all the timers expire, you alternate again between the emails from the different companies
  • Use a unique password for each program you join.  Also, never use your Paypal password.
  • Don't get overly excited about sign-up bonuses.  It's nice to get a quick $5 or $10 but it's the emails and referrals that pay over the long run.
  • Make sure you check out each programs' upgrade options.  They usually don't charge  much for annual or lifetime memberships (as low as $5 sometimes), and you can get higher amounts per email, better referral percentages, etc.  You are also sometimes eligible for random referrals.

Most importantly, don't give up! You won't reach the payment thresholds for a while. The main reason people aren't successful online is they quit too soon.  Commit to at least one year and you'll be glad you did!

                                The Programs

For the last month I have been carefully evaluating a large number of these programs to filter out
which ones are the absolute best to join.  This review will should be done by the end of April.  In
the meantime, I can recommend a few programs to get you started.  These are quality,
legitimate companies with a proven track record:

Inboxdollars                Email volume is low but they have a variety of additional ways to make money
such as paid surveys and shopping rebates.  They give you a $5 bonus for joining!

Project Response      This looks like just an advertising program, but is a great paid email program too!
Once you get through all the confusion and get set up to receive emails you will
get paid a whopping 4 cents for just opening the email and another 8 cents for
answering a question about the ad.  If you can't answer the question quickly, don't
waste too much click time on it! Just take your 4 cents and move on.

Hits4pay                        With this program you need to log into their internal mailbox to see your emails but
they have a good clicking system and it pays a nice 2 cents per email. The email
volume is a bit low but there is a $10 sign-up bonus

MatrixMails                    With this program you actually sign-up for an account with mybestmail.com where you
will have to go to see you emails.  I highly recommend upgrading to the Gold
membership in order to get up to 4 cents per email. Volume for emails is low but
they have paid-to-click and other earning opportunities, even paid-to-write articles!

I will be posting my complete paid to read email review and comparison within the next few weeks!
